Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai

Finally, I went to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai for a 5 Days 3 Nights Trip
It was indeed an exciting one since we can't really communicate well in Thai Language
Started the whole journey on Wednesday night at 9pm
The bus eventually delayed and we nearly missed the bus
Fuhhh...@@

Bus tickets for 12 of us
Each costs 563 Baht to go from Bangkok to Chiang Mai
The same price as well for our tickets back to Bangkok

It was not a comfortable one with narrow space in the seats
Had a hard time to sleep well at that night as well

Reached at Chiang Mai Bus Station around 7am
We took Song Thaew to go to our Homestay
Penny's Place

Me, Connie and Chiang Jinn

Somehow like a taxi service in Thailand

Everyone is in the Song Thaew

Penny's Place
It is seriously a good one with reasonable price
450 Baht for 2 person in one room
With air conditioner
The owner is actually a Taiwanese that married to a Thai man
She is very friendly and helpful on helping us around with the trip
Arranging meal and tour guide for us
She definitely can speak well in Thai.

We went to Doi Suthep first after having some rest in the hotel
Leaving the homestay after lunch hour
Doi Suthep is basically a temple in the mountain and it is indeed a famous attraction here in Chiang Mai

In front of the entrance of Doi Suthep
Had to climb a total of 306 staircase to go up there

View from the top

There are some kids that will be dancing sometimes in front of the Doi Suthep to collect some donation

The famous Doi Suthep

The Taiwanese Guys
Kingsly,Useful, Sony & Jimmy

Chiang Mai is at the back..!!
You can take a total view of Chiang Mai from Doi Suthep

We had some walk after leaving Doi Suthep
Went to the night market after a buffet dinner
One person 141 Baht

Wawee Coffee
Famous Coffee in Chiang Mai

They are selling roti here in Thailand as well
Not much choices as compared to Malaysia..
=.=
Miss Roti Planta..

Leaving to Chiang Rai the next morning
Went to Wat Rong Khun
It is basically a white temple in Thailand
Built by an artist named Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat
What is interesting is that there are some drawings in the temple that is very special
With Spiderman,Kungfu Panda, 911 Case in USA and etc

Wat Rong Khun at the back

Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat

They had this kind of skulls and scary things hanging around the trees nearby
To show the difference between heaven and hell

Wishing Well in Wat Rong Khun

Guess what is at the back there..?
Clue is in the picture..haha

Golden Triangle
It's a point where the intersection of Laos, Thailand and Myanmar is
Nothing much special actually
Just a hot spot where the intersection between 3 countries..

We actually took boat to Laos
There is a small market there selling some souvenirs
Many kids there are begging for money
There are even kids holding another baby on their hand as well

At the Immigration of Myanmar and Thailand
This is the most northern part of Thailand as well

We went to visit Long Neck Village as well
People there are having long neck as they are wearing metal rings starting at the age of 5

One of the picture of mine with one of the ladies there
This lady is very famous as most of the postcards or magnets are drawn based on her faces

We went to Elephant Camp the next morning
Elephants are available for tourists to feed them or take pictures as well
Of course with tips given to them too

Elephants are taking their bath
Well trained to go down to the river and soaked themselves in the water too

We watched the Elephants Show as well
They can definitely do many unexpected things

Sit in such a cute way

Playing Football

Giving body massage

Painting as well
=.=

Looks cute when they got close to the audiences and asked for foods

Were thinking to have this as profile picture..LOL
And basically it is my profile picture in Facebook now

We also have Ox-Cart riding
It is interesting to have a short ride of it
But not for a too long time I guessed..haha
Feeding those hungry Ox

We basically took the Ox ride to somewhere and had to come back to the origin by elephants

It is very fun to ride on the elephants
It's seem like a massage given when you are on it

The elephant even went down the river and crossed the river as well
But it seem to be a short distance as promised for 45 minutes
But i think it is only about 30 minutes rides

We went for bamboo raft ride as well
Travelling along the river while singing is pretty fun

Went to Orchid Farm and Butterfly Farm

Can't even see many butterflies there even I am in the Butterfly Farm
=.=

We went to the famous night market in Chiang Mai
It is tremendously long night market
You have to spend so much time to finish walking from the beginning till the end of the market as well
We spent around 4 hours there

Collecting donation for dogs
The dogs are well trained to pose and stay still even with the flash of camera is on

Parrots at the middle of the streets selling newspapers?
Only here in Chiang Mai

We went to Doi Inthanon National Park of Thailand the next day
Stopped by at 2 waterfalls there

Wachirathan Waterfall

Acting crazily in front of the waterfall

Just for fun..!!

It is the highest spot here in Thailand
Highest Peak..!!

Well..It's only 10 degree celsius..
Nothing big deal..:p

Now it's a big deal
It's like a storm..@@

It's a trip with Malaysian,Taiwanese, & friends from China and Hong Kong..!

Here is the Sunday Walking Street in Chiang Mai
Girls' Paradise

This taste good and cheap..
Only 5 Baht
Banana is inside..

Grand Total for the trip = 6000- 7000 Baht
Inclusive of everything that you can consider..

P/S: Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai done
It's Pattaya coming up

Keep quiet is the best solution..:D
