It was another 4 days break

Not going back home and decided just staying here in UTP

Rented car and went to Sungai Klah Hot Spring, Sungkai

About 1 hour plus journey from UTP

Entrance fee for each person is RM12

There were hot and cold water pool there,

So feel free to go any that you prefer

At least i never knew any other places

There were somekind of Sarsi flavored-thingy inside with fruits such as cocunut,papaya, watermelon and others like cincau and etc..

I don't think it is nice but at least it is something different

Today is the first day of classes for this semester

I had homework that I didn't know that it was actually given out last Friday

The lecturer is known to be strict and not fun at all

Life is gonna be miserable for this sem

Walking to classes alone all the time seem to be something normal

The end of the semester here in Lehigh

Of course, the end of my journey travelling around in United States

In this short 6 months, many things happened

How things can get different here as compared to Malaysia?

Fortunately everything goes smooth till the end

Finally by the time i made through, it's time to say goodbye

Feel reluctant somehow as you are waiting for the moment to go back

To see the beloved.

Yet you will miss life here as an exchange student.

Though i don't really feel so..

Somehow as exchange student,

You will feel like everything is better than your host university

Facilities..Teaching methods..and Learning Culture

Everything can be different

Do we improve ourselves from what we see, hear and experience?

Or We are just the connector between these 2 universities?

I am leaving here like within 2 weeks.

Between Lehigh and Lafayette

This is the biggest rivalry in Lehigh

Even they had party for the whole weeks before the games

Band came into random classes on Friday

Just to tell the world that Lehigh-Lafeyette game is here..!!

Though I don't really understand much

Still you got to go and watch the match

Because I am exchange student and will only be here for 1 semester

Free Shuttle Bus was provided to go to Goodman Campus

But be early..!!

Or else you just gotta wait and wait

But there were so many shuttle buses provided

You can just get up to the stadium on time

USD 25.00 including your ticket and a shirt too

Alcoholic Beverages are not allowed

People just left the beer in front of the entrance..!!

Of course you gotta sit at the Lehigh's side

Not the Opposite side..

Including this year

Lehigh had won the matches against Lafayette 4 years in a row

We went to Amish Country

The place where people there don't use electricity

They use generator to get light

They don't drive car

They use horses

They don't use phone too..

The children still go to school

It was a long journey

We took about more than 3 hours to get there

The tour guide is a 11 years old boy named Daniel

He can talk like an adult

Saw snow for my first time in Lehigh

Woke up late after my birthday celebration

Saw how the snow started to fall from the sky with rain as well

It should be a good experience

But it ended up NOT

It was blackout the whole campus and it lasted like for more than a day

It is expected to last for more than 3 days

Classes on Monday are even cancelled..@@

It's the weekend of the 8th Week here

Managed to grab a seat to Seiple Farms

Just to take a look at how US farm looks like

Especially how they farm pumpkins since it's Halloween soon

30 minutes bus journey from Lehigh

We started the trip with the corn maze

Yes..!!

Get into a corn maze and try to look for 14 checkpoints

It's only USD 5

This is basically the map of the whole corn maze

They created the route in kinda a creative way.

At least it is made up of words and pictures

It's not that important to look for all the checkpoints

But to have corn war wherever you see any people

Just grab any corn and throw it to others

It's fun..

But yet we managed to get all the checkpoints

And didn't get lost too as we managed to get back to the entrance

It used to be more challenging as there were no sign boards in it before this

They have it now to help the tourists..I guess

They provide a corn playground whereby kids can play around with corn with USD2

Hey It's the second week here in Lehigh

Sorry to say, I am still having hard time here..complaining this and that

Too bad I complained to my mum..aikss

I am stuck with my assignments and term-paper@project

We had ping pong table downstairs as well as dart to play

We went to Lehigh Valley Mall on Saturday

It is only the first week of study in Lehigh

I got tonnes of assignments coming

Just not in a right mood to do so

Yet Denson is so stressful with his homework due almost everyday.

Pity him

I dropped one of my courses here

Since it seems to be burdening

It turned out to be i am taking 12 credit hours this semester here

With Tuesday and Thursday are my holidays every week..hehe

Can focus more with my other courses then..@@

It is hard to have enrolled in courses with all senior year students or graduate level students

You just got so stressful in every classes..@@

Just don't talk about study

It makes my life here bad

Just another random post after 1 week in Lehigh

It's cool here as I really experienced something really different here

Especially some hard time struggling to speak and communicate good in English with American

They speak too fast I guess or there are too much words that i don't really understand

That caused the problems to come

Yet to face and solve it in a quick manner

Managed to settle with my course that will be taken this semester

Pretty much not transferable but at least there is something to do with my Chem Eng

Some kind of band having their practice I guess

& They are Lehigh-ians

Went to the Linderman Library for some printings

It is simply like in a castle or some rich people's house back in the 60's..

Somehow it looks like in IRC back in UTP, Malaysia

It was definitely a very very nice experience

To be able to step on the stage for the Pidato Competition

Stayed at Vistana Hotel for the whole 4 days and 3 nights

Being treated almost like a prince

Being comfortable bed

Missing the bed so much though..@@

Woke up late that day

Ended up miss the bus

Got to rush down to Mentakab to catch back the bus

Going after the bus was my first time experience though

Ever saw foreign workers without legal working documents being caught in the bus..?

Again I experienced it today..

Met up Denson and went to WISMA MCA

She chatted with us the whole 30 minutes before the train came

Went down to KL for a TOEFL test today

Departed from Batu Gajah at 5.40am

Reached Kl Sentral at around 7.30am

Extremely tired for the whole day

Took this test from 10am till 2pm

With Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing skills being tested

Got to get 90 and above for the test to get to Lehigh

Here is basically how it works

It's hard and hope I can get through the passing mark..

Not expecting high for it though

Finished the whole test at 2pm++

Went to Chili's at KLCC

Nice one...!!!

Enjoyed the meal very much with bottomless drinks there

It's getting better as I just finished the test

And now we learnt on how a trip can be very tiring and exhausting

3 Days 2 Night Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Redang, Lang Tengah

The shortest sem break ever, 1 week

Yet we chose to relax ourselves in Pulau Perhentian this time

Since we finished the final exam 4 days earlier

Travelled from Taman Maju at around 8.30pm

Reached Jerteh at 4.30am

Having breakfast nearby the jetty

We reached the jetty around 9.30am

You don't have to carry your luggage there

They will help you with that..XD

At Kuala Besut Jetty

It was almost 30 minutes boat trip

And we reached Pulau Perhentian by 11am

Relaxing enough to look at the clear water..XD

The water is so clear when we 1st reached the island

Start our snorkelling trips there after the lunch.

And its tiring...=.=

It worse when you are not good in swimming...haha

First Time experience in Pidato

Sequence was being arranged this time and lucky for me to get No.4

The whole pidato time allocation for each speaker is 15 minutes with the slide presentation

Just get so nervous with my turn when the text fall down from the table due to the windy situation..

Blank at the moment and get very thirsty on the stage..

Tried very best to cover everything up

KL's Weekend

Spent my weekend in Kl this week..

2 days 1 night trip

Reached around 12pm

Travelled far away to Kota Damansara

Went to One U for our lunch

Seoul Garden

Not Much Variety of food provided by the way

But having BBQ fish is seriously nice..

Just will get frustrated when the fish you cook over cook or even not cooked..=.=

Don't even know how to know the fish is cooked or not..

wahahaha..

Price: Reasonable..

Esp. when I am not the one paying the bills..LOL

Self-made so called ABC with corn only plus some ice-cream and pudding..

Went for some shopping after the meal..

Seriously full till the max

It is another mid sem break for me, 4 days of holiday
Though with all the assignments and lab reports to be submitted next week

I had made a last minute plan to go Ipoh and play around

Nothing special happened today

Went for 6 games of bowling for RM12 only

Did some shopping though..hehe..

Went to Airport

It's airport theme restaurant but more to a pub kinda restaurant

Served food but focus more to pub once it reach night time

The waiter wear their pilot costume

The entrance is kinda like the entrance for the imigration at airport

The food is not really delicious but the price is quite expensive

Just to have some try on different places instead of the same place we went for dinner

Just finished up the 4 days mid sem break.

Short and yet seem like not enough for a break.

Prepared for the 2 tests few days ago

Separation Process II and Probability and Statistics

Headache enough with these 2 subjects

Additional with the deadline of RIX which was on Monday

and Yet they postponed it till Wednesday

FML..!!

Should have spend more time on the tests.

Suggesting to have a simple elevator in UTP hostel..

Life in UTP will never end with all those assignments and lab reports..

Went to few restaurants and all the Valentine set dinners were over..
Finally went to PappaRich at De Garden, Ipoh

It was my first time went there

Frankly speaking i don't know what they served basically
Kinda disappointed as I had screwed up the whole dinner that night..
Yet, we still enjoyed the night..
Perhaps the venue is not that important,
it's the time being together is more important..hehe

Looking for carpark was like taking such a long time

This year Chinese New Year
Quite different from previous years
As I traveled almost every single day

Chinese New Year Eve fall on Wednesday this year
Although we don't have sea cucumber or abalone
But yet its a superb one with all the relatives coming back to enjoy a dinner together

Advise from my aunt:
You already 21 now
Should be more mature and start to plan for your own future
Save up money for your future career and family
Just another 2 and a half year to go

If i was few years back and heard the same things
I might just laugh
But yet now
I feel like I should have start to do as advised
Life is much more easy for me to have responsible parent that provide me sufficient needs for a kid to grow up

A week full of challenges and made my life changed
Changed the way i think..
Push beyond your limit
I was selected to OBML
Outward Bound Malaysia Lumut
Go through a water-based activities camp involve kayak and whaler

We reached OBS, Outward Bound School on 11th January 2011

First time wallet and handphone being taken away from me for a 7 days camp
No entertainment are allowed here
Even IC also being taken away too

The place where we stayed..
The first day is basically just Ice breaking and group formation
I was being selected into Bintang Watch.

The next day we started our training and introduction to kayak
How to save ourselves if the kayak capsized and so on
Learn a lot here with my real experience of capsizing in the middle of the sea
and get back to my own kayak with the help from my friends.

We started the 1st expedition in the afternoon around 3pm

We just kayak for about 1 and half hour and reached our campsite called Teluk Sekadih

The meal is not nice though..
Nasi tak masak..=.=
But we got to eat that..
or else will pengsan...=.=

We again kayak for the next day around the Pangkor Island
It really push beyond my limit..
Because we kayak for 7 hours..
But I am very happy for being able to reach till the end..!!!

The 2nd expedition was whaling
We had hard time to whale as 8 person will like kayak together and need to synchronize
We even had our lunch in the middle of the sea
haha..XD
Nice experience though
